There are three types of membership in The War Event. The basic member is simply a Registered User who gains access to the basic message boards. This type of member may not upload images to share with others, nor does he/she have access to the Forum, where you may post personal hobby related items you may have for sale or trade, or to the Casus Belli rules and supporting forums.

Supporting Members of The War Event gain the ability to upload and share images and files, and also gain access to the forums mentioned above. Additionally, Supporting Members gain online access to the newly released Casus Belli rules for miniature wargaming, from 3,000 B.C. to 1,495 A.D. Included for Supporting Members at no additional cost is the Players Handbook #1, covering fifty armies, that shows the gamer how to represent and/or convert their existing army over for play in Casus Belli. The rules also include an extensive “point buying” list for gamers that enjoy competition gaming. The Casus Belli forums provide an area for gamer support and interaction with the game designers, as well as any updates and additions as they are released. Get all this for only $14.95 a year.

To become a Premier Member you must be a Supporting Member in good standing, and by remaining a Supporting Member you will have online access to discussions about the rules, questions and answers, and supporting forums not available to others.

To post in all standard areas available to site users, you must first become a Registered User. To begin, you will need to register to use the forums, this is free to all site visitors. To begin, visit the home page of the forums, and click the 'register' link.




You will be required to enter your birthday information for age verification, and site birthday reminders. You will also be required to agree to the Forum Rules, as well as provide basic registration information. This will include your REAL First name, as required by the rules of this forum. Be sure to provide a valid, accessible email address during the registration process, as access to this will be required to complete the registration process.

Once you have provided all of the registration requirements, you will be registered and will need to watch for the registration email to complete the last step. Welcome, you are now a registered user of TheWarEvent.com and can begin posting.

Becoming a Supporting Member, adds the following benefits:

• Ability to upload and share images and files
• Gain access to Additional Forums for Supporting Members
• Gain access to the Casus Belli rules and resources
• Interaction with the designers of Casus Belli
• Access to all updates and additions for Casus Belli are they are released

Once logged in, Click "User CP" on the left side of the main menu. Your User Control Panel should be displayed.



At the very bottom of the User Control Panel menu (left column) you will find an option for "Paid Subscriptions" under "Miscellaneous". *Note, if you have already upgraded, not all options may be visible for you. Click "Paid Subscriptions".

You are presented with two options: "Supporting Membership" (an Annual Agreement) and "Supporting Membership + Premier" which is the Supporting Membership and the Premier Membership upgrades, combined in one step. For instructions on the combined upgrade, see these instructions.

Select "Supporting Membership" if you wish to upgrade to that level, from the Cost Drop-down, and click the "Order" button. You will be presented with a summary screen, review your order, and click "Order Using PayPal" if you wish to continue. The order system will allow you to use an existing PayPal account, or use a credit card without setting up a PayPal account. Please see PayPal.com for additional details, any fees if applicable and restrictions.

Once the PayPal website returns you to the forums, and the payment process is complete, you will be automatically upgraded to Supporting Member status.

• All of the benefits of Supporting Membership
• Current PDF Copy of Casus Belli rules with print capability
• Access to forums not accessible by other member groups

To upgrade to a Premier membership, you must first be a Supporting Member, or you must choose the "Supporting Membership + Premier" upgrade available to registered users (see instructions).
